Make our world a better place

Dear friends,

Working to make our world a better place sums up much of what we try to do in public health. It’s what motivates students to pursue training in this field and why so many people devote their careers to strengthening public health.  

As the year 2023 draws to a close, we’re all aware of the many ways our world still needs to be a better, healthier, safer, more peaceful place. That work will continue in the new year ahead. In the meantime, I’m thinking of all those whose efforts show how much you care about others, and sharing my sincere wishes for a happy holiday season and a healthy 2024.
