HMP alumna Adaeze Enekwechi named president of IMPAQ

Health Management and Policy alumna Adaeze Enekwechi (07PhD) has been named president of IMPAQ, the parent organization of three companies: IMPAQ International, a public policy research and analytics firm; Maher & Maher, a learning solutions provider; and ASCEND, a technology and information product company. As president, Enekwechi will oversee all program areas of IMPAQ's companies. Published April 5, 2019

Alumna Michele Connelly Black honored for distinguished public health career

The Pleasant Valley Community School District has named CPH alumna Michele Connelly Black (87PhD) the recipient of the 2019 Pleasant Valley Community School District Wall of Honor Award, which recognizes distinguished graduates from Pleasant Valley High School. In 1988, Black was accepted into the Epidemic Intelligence Service, which started her 25 year career as an epidemiologist at the CDC. Published April 2, 2019

Alumnus Nico Aguilar shares story about Speeko startup

Solon-raised entrepreneur Nico Aguilar (14MHA/MPH) has migrated to a much larger town, now working to develop his fledgling business from an office in downtown Chicago. His full-time energies are focused on Speeko, a technology company that is building an innovative product to help people improve their public speaking skills, using only their smartphone. Published March 15, 2019

In pursuit of excellence: Q&A with sports medicine researcher Stephanie Kliethermes

College of Public Health alumna Stephanie Kliethermes (09MS, 13 PhD in biostatistics) is the research director at the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). She also is an assistant professor in the Division of Sports Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kliethermes recently answered a few questions about her path to sports medicine research and current work at the AMSSM, including a focus on youth early sports specialization. Published March 4, 2019
