Celebrate PHIL’s Day on April 30 (with ice cream!)
Published on April 21, 2015
We appreciate you!
On April 30, black and gold ribbons will wrap around building signage and posters will declare “Thank you, PHIL!” all over campus. (PHIL is short for philanthropy.)
In the College of Public Health, PHIL is all about participation. The participation rate of CPH faculty and staff in the UI giving program was 42.4% at the end of February 2015. This is higher than the 2014 fiscal-year-end participation rate of 40.2%.
As a way of showing appreciation for all the contributions of CPH faculty and staff, the college will offer ice cream and ful-PHIL-ing, healthy snacks at the following locations and times:
- CPHB Noon to 2 p.m. with Dean Curry visiting about 1:30 p.m. In addition, the UI Foundation will be hosting a table in the CPHB atrium where anyone can come by to sign a “thank you” postcard that will be sent to a donor.
- UCC 2 to 3 p.m. with Dean Curry visiting about 2:15 p.m.
- IREH 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with Dean Curry visiting about 3 p.m.
Please join your colleagues at a location closest to you for a treat and THANK YOU!
