Published on July 8, 2025

The University of Iowa College of Public Health has announced the reappointment of two senior leaders following comprehensive reviews conducted this spring.

Maggie Chorazy, clinical associate professor of epidemiology will continue in her role as associate dean for academic affairs, and Brandi Janssen, clinical associate professor of occupational and environmental health will remain director of undergraduate programs. Both leaders were recognized for their ongoing contributions to the college’s mission and student success.

Chorazy will maintain oversight of academic affairs, including curriculum development, enrollment management, accreditation, and academic program support. She plays a central role in shaping academic policy and fostering collaboration across departments to support students from recruitment through graduation.

Janssen will continue to lead the college’s undergraduate programs, managing curriculum, academic policies, and student support services. Her work focuses on enhancing recruitment, retention, and overall program administration.

“It was obvious from feedback how much the college values each of them in their roles,” said Dean Edith Parker. “Their leadership has been essential in driving the college forward, and we are excited to see them continue their impactful work.”
