CPH ranks high in health survey results

In 2015, 70% of eligible CPH faculty and staff took their Personal Health Assessment, a survey of health and lifestyle practices.

Of the 214 CPH respondents in 2015:

  • 99% are smoke-free
  • 90% manage stress
  • 70% get good sleep
  • 70% exercise regularly
  • 67% report good nutrition
  • 47% are at a healthy weight

68% of CPH respondents are classified in the low-risk health category

93% of CPH respondents agreed with the statement, “My supervisor supports health and wellness within my unit.”

2016 Recommendations for Health and Well-being Initiatives in the CPH

  1. Utilize internal communications to encourage participation in the Personal Health Asssessment and other programs
  2. Encourage units to participate in Resilience offerings to assist in response to TIER and campus changes
  3. Offer On‐Site (Group or Individual) Health Coach Service to faculty and staff within the division
  4. Utilize SHUTi Program and UI Employee Assistance Program for sleep improvement interventions.
