CPH ranks high in health survey results

In 2015, 70% of eligible CPH faculty and staff took their Personal Health Assessment, a survey of health and lifestyle practices.
Of the 214 CPH respondents in 2015:
- 99% are smoke-free
- 90% manage stress
- 70% get good sleep
- 70% exercise regularly
- 67% report good nutrition
- 47% are at a healthy weight
68% of CPH respondents are classified in the low-risk health category
93% of CPH respondents agreed with the statement, “My supervisor supports health and wellness within my unit.”
2016 Recommendations for Health and Well-being Initiatives in the CPH
- Utilize internal communications to encourage participation in the Personal Health Asssessment and other programs
- Encourage units to participate in Resilience offerings to assist in response to TIER and campus changes
- Offer On‐Site (Group or Individual) Health Coach Service to faculty and staff within the division
- Utilize SHUTi Program and UI Employee Assistance Program for sleep improvement interventions.
