Help the Homecoming Week food drive

Published on October 8, 2014

The CPH Student Association (CPHSA) is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Crisis Center of Johnson County Food Bank.  Donate food or other much-needed items before noon on Friday, October 10.

Drop off your donation in the bins located around the main stairway in CPHB. There are also collection bins located at UCC and IREH. On Friday afternoon, the donations will be tallied and the winning department determined. Here are the items that are on the food bank’s ‘Top Ten Needed Items’ lis — they will count double toward the department donation total.

Top Ten Needed Donations

  • Canned fruit and 100 percent fruit juice
  • Peanut butter and canned meat
  • Pasta and rice
  • Hearty soups and stews
  • Canned vegetables
  • Toilet paper
  • Baby formula
  • Baby diapers
  • Laundry detergent
  • Financial Donations (See me if you wish to make a financial contribution)

If you have questions about the food drive, you may contact Nicole Westergaard, CPHSA Co-Social Director, at nicole-westergaard@uiowa.edu
