Charla Schafer, executive director of the Community Foundation of Muscatine, Tai Burkhart, director of Buchanan County Public Health, and Kathy Leinenkugel, recently retired program director for the Iowa Department of Public Health’s Occupational Health & Safety Surveillance Program, were recently honored with the UI College of Public Health’s 2022 Public Health Hero Awards.
