IPRC Request for Pilot Research Proposals Addressing Injuries and Violence

The University of Iowa Injury Prevention Research Center is accepting pilot research proposals for projects addressing injuries and violence.

Pilot Request for Proposal-2020 The center, funded by the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is particularly interested in interdisciplinary pilot projects that concern injuries in rural contexts; however all injury and violence prevention and control projects will be considered. Priority is given to pilot proposals that hold greatest potential for leading to a larger research proposal.

Applicants from the Colleges of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Medicine, and Public Health are highly encouraged to submit a proposal. Faculty members across all ranks and scientific staff are eligible. Post-doctoral fellows and graduate students are eligible but must have a faculty sponsor who will oversee the research. A letter of support/commitment from the faculty sponsor must accompany the proposal. All applicants must be affiliated with the University of Iowa.

Pilot project grant awards will generally range from $20,000-$22,500 with a maximum of $22,500 (direct) for each project.
