Brandi Janssen, clinical associate professor of occupational and environmental health, recently attended a White House Summit on Building Climate Resilient Communities. The event, held Sept. 28, brought together representatives from more than 25 states, territories, and Tribal Nations to explore opportunities to develop effective climate resilience strategies.

Senior administration officials from more than 15 federal departments and agencies also attended the summit, which was the venue for the release of the National Climate Resilience Framework designed to guide and align climate resilience investments and activities by the federal government and its partners.
