The College of Public Health is offering a workshop for students interested in learning more about Photovoice, a participatory technique to engage communities with public health issues. This two-session workshop, led by professional photographer Majda Turkic, will be held Feb. 17 and Feb. 19 in the College of Public Health Building.

- Feb. 17, 1:30-2:30 p.m. S030: Introduction to Photovoice, how it relates to public health, and examples of how it has been used to communicate public health issues.
- Feb. 19, 1:30-2:30 p.m. C201: Photography basics, photo manipulation, and getting started on your own Photovoice projects.
Workshop leader Majda Turkic is based on Bosnia, where she has implemented a number of successful Photovoice projects with youth organizations.
