Smile: Portrait sessions for CPH students, faculty, and staff

All College of Public Health faculty, staff, and students are invited to have a portrait taken free of charge at one of several upcoming open photo sessions. The pictures are used by the college and/or departments for newsletters, class composites, web sites, bulletin board displays, and related materials.

The times and locations of the open sessions are listed below.

Tuesday, Aug. 18
Room S025B CPHB

7:45-8:30 a.m.     HMP students only
8:30-9:45 a.m.    Open session

Thursday, Aug. 20
Room S025B CPHB

8:00-9:30 a.m.    Open session and new student portraits
2:30-4:30 p.m.    Open session and new student portraits

Tuesday, Aug. 25
Room N202 CPHB (HMP Conference Room)

2:00-3:00 p.m.        Open session
3:00-4:00 p.m.        Executive MHA students only

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I have to get a picture taken?
No, it’s not required. If you do have a photo taken, we ask you to sign a release form granting the college permission to use the photo in various materials.

I had my picture taken last year. Do I have to do it again?
No, you don’t have to have it retaken, but you can if you want to.

I don’t like my current picture. Can I have a new one taken?
Yes.

Do I have to reserve a time for a photo?
If you are a current faculty or staff member or student, just drop in anytime during an open session. Incoming students will have portraits taken during their orientation sessions.

Who keeps the pictures?
The CPH Office of Communications and External Relations keeps the photos on file.

Can I get a copy of my picture?
Yes, you can request a digital copy for your use from cph-communications@uiowa.edu. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing after new photos have been taken.
