Student scholarship opportunity: Maternal and Child Health

Graduate students are invited to apply for a $1,000 scholarship in the College of Public Health’s Maternal and Child Health (MCH) program for the Fall 2025 semester. Fill out the application by September 5, 2025 to be considered.

 Eligible students include those who:

  • Have a genuine interest in emerging public health issues as they relate to maternal and child health.
  • Are currently enrolled in a MS, MPH, or PhD program in the College of Public Health.
  • Agree to participate in monthly MCH Student Interest Group meetings.
  • Are citizens or non-citizen nationals of the United States or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence, as evidenced by a currently valid Permanent Resident Card [USCIS Form I-551] or other legal verification of such status.

Expectations of MCH Scholars:

  • Attend each of the MCH Student Interest Group monthly meetings during the semester of the scholarship award(s).
  • Enroll in EPID:4350 MCH Seminar (fall/spring), EPID/CBH:5350 Foundations of Maternal and Child Health (fall), and EPID:5450 Foundations of Maternal and Child Health II (spring).
  • Commit to a leadership role in the MCH Student Interest Group and/or organize an event for the MCH group during the semester of the scholarship award(s).

Scholarship recipients will be eligible for a 2nd semester of funding ($1,000) given eligibility criteria and expectations remain met.

Priority will be given to interested students who complete the following application by September 5th, 2025.
