The University of Iowa College of Public Health is excited to begin offering our new undergraduate degree programs! Starting Fall 2016, we welcome our first class of BA, BS, and public health interest students. These students will grow with us as we teach them the knowledge and skills necessary for the future of the public health workforce.

In public health, we make a difference every day in the quality of life and health in the people of Iowa and around the country and world. Students with any interest in healthcare, health sciences, community engagement and health, biostatistics, health policy, or environmental and occupational health are encouraged to meet with us to see if a degree in public health will help them in finding meaningful and rewarding careers.

If you are interested, there are several ways coming up this fall where you can learn more about the field of public health and our degree programs:

  • Email us for more information on admission to the program
  • If you are a current UI first year student or if you are in Iowa City, stop by S273 CPHB to chat with us at one of our weekly drop in sessions. These are held every Tuesday during the fall semester from 12pm to 12:45pm. Our first session is Tuesday, September 6 at 12pm. Please just drop in- no appointment necessary!
  • We will be at a table during all Hawkeye Visit Days this fall- come see us October 21 or 28, or November 4 or 11.
  • On Saturday, October 15, we will be participating in You@UIowa. If you want to learn what you might do during a Zombie Outbreak- be sure to sign up for one of our sessions. Please go to http://admissions.uiowa.edu/visit-campus/youui-schedule to get more information or to sign up.
