The editorial board of Neurology Today has selected a Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative paper as one of its "top picks" for important advances in movement disorders in 2023. The paper included co-authors David-Erick Lafontant, Seung Ho Choi, Ryan Kurth, Chelsea Caspell-Garcia, and Chris Coffey. Published February 1, 2024
Lastascia Coleman named president of March for Moms Board of Directors
Lastascia Coleman has been named president of the Board of Directors for March for Moms. Coleman is director of the midwifery education program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a PhD student in health management and policy. March for Moms is a non-profit that aligns the diverse voices of families, health care providers, policymakers, and partners to advocate for mothers and families’ health, well-being and equal access to care. Iowa study uses new tool to examine stress among women farmers
UI researchers Carly Nichols, assistant professor of geographical and sustainability sciences, and Jonathan Davis, research assistant professor of occupational and environmental health, have created and tested a new tool — the Women Farmer Stress Inventory (WFSI) — to better understand the types of stressors women farmers face.
