Deshpande comments on Johnson County’s general public health ranking
The University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute ranked Johnson County sixth out of Iowa’s 99 counties in terms of public health in 2022, up from twenty-fifth in 2020. Anjali Deshpande, CPH clinical associate professor, said a potential cause of the large increase of general health from 2020 could be that Johnson County was better equipped than other counties to handle the COVID-19 pandemic.
