Faculty Support & Safety Guidance
This guide is designed to assist the campus community in responding to situations in which faculty members are targeted by individuals or groups outside of the university based on the content of the faculty member’s scholarship, teaching, clinical care, and/or service. It addresses potential concerns in such situations and informs the campus about resources available to assist individual faculty members, department chairs, and other administrators.

Getting Off to a Good Start
The University of Iowa has many resources and networks available to help new faculty thrive in their new position.  Getting Off to a Good Start introduces you to these resources and also provides some general tips for new faculty. The sections are chronologically sequenced to address your first days on campus all the way through your first year, and are categorized according to the following areas:  teaching, research, service, work-life integration, career development.

Build a Life
The University of Iowa’s Build a Career | Build a Life  is a great resource designed to assist you to successfully build a career and build a life. At the University of Iowa, we recognize the important relationship between productive careers and quality personal lives.

Student Disability Services
Student Disability Services facilitates academic accommodations and services for students with disabilities to ensure everyone has equal access to course materials and activities.  SDS staff are available to provide consultations to faculty should questions or concerns arise.
