How can I restore a file that was saved on the network?

If you have deleted or lost a file that is stored on a network resource (this includes the M: and U: drives), the College of Public Health has a backup system in place to prevent total data loss.

For files saved on the H drive, and some locations on the M and U drives, you may be able to restore the file yourself by following the instructions at https://its.uiowa.edu/support/article/2099.

If you are not able to recover the file yourself, please send an email to cph-server-admins@uiowa.edu with the full file path and name. We will do our best to recover your file from the most recent backup.
