The Preventive Intervention Center has the staff with expertise in research trials who will be able to answer your questions and help guide you through the process. We have two locations in which we work from, with both sites working with UIHC to provide the resources to handle many different types of research trials.
The Towncrest Center has 6,750 total square feet, including a waiting room, medical record storage, laboratory, 4 exam rooms, 1 room for strength assessment, 1 MRI room, 1 sample collection room, mini gait lab, and conference room. A laboratory for processing specimens is equipped with a centrifuge, refrigerator and -70 degree freezer. Imaging equipment includes a 1.5T Extremity MRI, digital x-ray, Vertical CT, and Hologic Bone Density Scanner. Strength testing utilizes a HUMAC NORM Isokinetic Testing machine.
The General Hospital space has 5,452 total square feet, including a waiting room, laboratory, medical record storage, drug storage, five exam rooms, and three sample collection rooms. Staff offices are utilized for clinical services as well as recruitment and data management. The location also houses the Nutrition Center.
