As the nation’s health care delivery system continues to undergo fundamental changes, there is an increasing need for skilled graduates who can effectively analyze and evaluate health policy. To meet this growing demand, a new Master of Science in Health Policy degree program offered by the University of Iowa Department of Health Management and Policy equips students with advanced training in health policy analysis.
College of Public Health graduate student Steven Rippentrop has been selected for the 2015 Obermann Graduate Institute. As an Obermann Graduate Fellow, he will participate in a one-week intensive institute exploring how to combine public engagement with research and teaching.
Freshman and sophomore students at the University of Iowa and Grinnell College are invited to attend a visit day for the College of Public Health’s 3+2 Undergraduate to Graduate Program. The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the College of Public Health Building in room C217. Students will have a chance to speak with current students and faculty. Dinner will be provided, and advanced registration is required.
