Baker to participate in U.S.-Africa research symposium

Kelly Baker, associate professor of occupational and environmental health, has been invited to participate in the Second U.S.-Africa Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Symposium, to be held Jan. 16-18, 2024, in Rabat, Morocco.

The meeting, sponsored by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and held in partnership with l’Académie Hassan II des Sciences et Techniques, brings together young scientists, engineers, and medical professionals from the United States and the member countries of the African Union to explore the frontiers of research in the fields of human-technology interaction, sensing technologies, green technologies for climate adaptation, vaccine manufacturing, and One Health.

The goal of the symposium is to enhance scientific exchange and facilitate research collaboration. More information is available on the program website.
