Four-part news series focuses on ‘Cancer in Iowa’

Journalists at The Gazette recently published a four-part series on Cancer in Iowa. The reporters spent months interviewing people — including Mary Charlton, CPH professor of epidemiology and director of the Iowa Cancer Registry — as well as reading studies and tracking cancer-related legislation to report on Iowa’s cancer rate, which is the second-highest in the nation.
