Current Activities: Shruthi Bannur is a post-doctoral fellow supported by the T90 grant at the College of Dentistry. She serves as the principal-investigator for a study examining nicotine and tobacco and product use and its oral health implications among women in peri-urban areas of India and also works as a research assistant on a project focused on understanding impacts of e-cigarette related TikTok content on e-cigarette use and nicotine and tobacco product use among sexual and gender minoritized young adults in Iowa. Her research interests are in tobacco cessation and eliminating its oral health disparities among underserved and understudied populations.
