Application
Applications to the Human Toxicology PhD Program are submitted via the University of Iowa Graduate Admissions System, an electronic application system that streamlines the admissions process for Ph.D. training programs.
You will receive a username and password that will allow you to return to work on your application over several sessions. Your information is transmitted through a secure server and is kept confidential until you submit your application.
An application will be evaluated when the following items have been received:
- Payment of the application fee of $60 ($100 for international students)
- Upload unofficial transcripts to the application
- Submit three letters of recommendation via the application
- Self-report GRE test score results on the application; and
- Self-report TOEFL or IELTS test scores results on the application (foreign students)
The electronic application system transmits your file directly to the Human Toxicology Admission Committee for evaluation.
If you wish to have GRE and/or TOEFL scores reported to the University of Iowa, the code is 6681.
Deadline
Students wishing to complete the application process should submit required information by December 1st for full consideration. Applications received later will be considered on a rolling basis.
Interviews
Selected candidates are invited for an on-campus interview and will be contacted by e-mail. Interviews are not conducted prior to submission and evaluation of an application. Travel costs within the US will be covered by the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Human Toxicology. Interviews allow applicants the opportunity to measure the quality of the program, the research interests of our faculty, visit with current graduate students, and decide if his or her research interests are a good fit with the institution.
Checking Application Status
You will be able to check the status of your application materials online by utilizing the username and password provided to you by the application system.
