Sophie Switzer has been with the College of Public Health since 2017 and currently oversees programs in undergraduate experiential learning, career services, and global programs. She also provides supplemental support for international students enrolled in CPH degree programs and students in the Human Toxicology Program. She instructs several undergraduate courses, including CPH:2050 Career Planning: Exploring Careers in Public Health, as well as the required experiential learning coursework in internships (CPH:4850), research (CPH:3999), service-learning (CPH:3750), and global opportunities (CPH:4750).

Prior to joining the CPH, Sophie worked for the CIMBA Italy program in the Tippie College of Business and the University of Iowa Center for Conferences. She has a Master’s of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Iowa.
