What research projects do students work on?

You have the opportunity to work on a wide range of research projects. For example, students develop methods to sample airborne viruses, evaluate controls to reduce exposures to welding fume and agricultural dusts, develop methods to assess nanoparticle exposures, and apply low-cost sensor technology to assess noise, gas, and particle exposures. You will develop a thesis that often is published in peer-reviewed research. Your advisor will help you identify a project, devise a study plan, and manage the project to completion. They then help you revise your thesis and present your work in a clear and concise manner.
