Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistantships (GAs) represent one source of financial aid available from the department. Assistantships are awarded annually on the basis of student merit and departmental need and include health care benefits. GA projects allow students to hone analytical skills and provide an opportunity for real-time presentation of policy information.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Students in MS in Health Policy at the University of Iowa are eligible to apply for several awards and scholarships offered by the Department of Health Management and Policy (HMP).

Eligible students may also apply for several awards and scholarships to help offset the costs associated with graduate education.

Other awards, such as the Collegiate Opportunity Award, are offered through the College of Public Health. Eligible students can be nominated for awards, such as the Graduate Diversity Scholarship, through the Graduate College.
